DAYS: (sacred places to reach).

  • 1: Cusco – Piscacucho (km 82) – Wayllabamba.
  • 2: Wayllabamba – Pacaymayu.
  • 3: Pacaymayu – Wi├▒aywayna.
  • 4: Wi├▒aywayna – Machu Picchu

Itinerary

DAY 1: CUSCO – PISCACUCHO (KM 82) ÔÇô WAYLLABAMBA.

05:00 a.m. we will pick you up and to transfer to km.82, the place where the Inca Trail begins, on the way we make a stop in Ollantaytambo to buy missing things before starting the Inca Trail.

Continuing, we arrive at Km 82 (2600 masl), where the walk begins, along the route you will see mountain landscapes, archaeological remains of Llactapata, then continue along from the Cusichaca Valley, to reach Wayllabamba (3000 masl), where we will spend the night in the camps.

Today’s food: lunch and dinner.

Walking time on this day: 6 hours on a flat path.

DAY 2: WUAYLLABAMBA – PACAYMAYU.

The adventure begins after a good breakfast, this day we will require great physical effort because we will ascend until the Abra of Warmihua├▒usca (dead woman pass) is the highest point of the adventure, which is at 4,200 masl.

from the Warmihua├▒usca pass you can see the panoramic view of the surrounding mountains and snowcapped mountains, then we will descend towards the Pacaymayo valley (3,500 masl) where we will camp.

DAY 3: PACAYMAYU – WI├ĹAYWAYNA.

This is the day that the Inca Trail is most enjoyed. On this day we will ascend another pass called Sayacmarca (3900 masl).

We will enter the jungle eyebrow and enjoy the presence of landscapes rich in a variety of flora (orchids) and fauna (birds), we will also visit the archaeological sites of Runcuraqay, Sayacmarca, Phuyupatamarka and finally Wi├▒aywayna (2,650 masl) where we will camp.

Today’s food: ┬áBreakfast, lunch and dinner.

Walking time on this day: 8 hours approx.

DAY 4: WI├ĹAYWAY├ĹA – MACHU PICCHU.

This is the final day of the Inca Trail trek 4 days 3 nights; we will start early at 04 a.m. to reach the Intipunku(sun gate), it is a impressive phenomenon of the impact of the sun’s rays on Machu Picchu (depending on the weather conditions), later we will continue to Machu Picchu, where you will have 2 hours of guided tour.

After the tour of Machu Picchu, you will have free time and later descend to the town of Aguas Calientes and finally board the train back to Cusco.

Today’s Food: Breakfast and Lunch.

  • Sleeping Bags, If you do not have one, You can rent from us.
  • Portering service. You need to carry all your personal belongings including the sleeping bag, If you want to hire a porter service is 70 dollars for 7 kilos for the four days
  • Extra expenses, Tips, and gratitude.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING:

  • Passport
  • Backpack to carry all your stuff and the sleeping bag. Should be a comfortable technical hiking backpack of 30 to 35 liters. If you have a bigger one works as well
  • Sleeping bag at least minus 5 c┬║. If you do NOT have one, you can rent from us for 10 dollars for the whole trek. The sleeping bag weighs 1.5 kilos approx
  • Trekking Poles – We recommend for people with problems of knees, ankle, or you used to use hiking poles. If you do NOT have one, you can rent a pair of trekking poles for 10 dollars from us.
  • Wool hat or beanie
  • Sun hat
  • Scarf
  • Gloves
  • 2 – 3 t-shirt, if you have long sleeve better
  • Two layers (sweater, fleece)
  • Two pairs of long pants if you have leggings, you can do on leggings
  • Hiking shoes
  • 2 ÔÇô 3 pairs of wool socks
  • A jacket Rain gear (Pants, jacket, if you do not have you can buy rain poncho) it is crucial, especially for the wet season.
  • Small towel.
  • Sunglasses.
  • Small headlamp.
  • Waterbottle.
  • Toothbrush and other personal toiletries.
  • Toilet paper.
  • Sun cream.
  • Insect repellent.
  • Sandals / Flip flops.
  • If you have warm clothing, you can take them which not that important.
