Itinerary
VIP Sacred Valley Tour from Cusco
Start time: 06:00 to 06:30 a.m. – Hotel pickup in Cusco.
We begin our adventure through the breathtaking Sacred Valley of the Incas. Our professional guide will explain the regulations for visiting the archaeological sites of the Sacred Valley and provide a cultural introduction before boarding our tourist transportation.
First stop: Chinchero
Discover one of the most traditional villages in the Sacred Valley. Chinchero is famous for its colorful handicraft market, where barter trade, an ancient Inca tradition, is still practiced. We will visit its archaeological complex, which combines Inca and colonial architecture, and learn about the ancestral Andean weaving techniques.
Second stop: Moray
At this fascinating Inca archaeological site, we will explore the impressive agricultural terraces. Each terrace has a different microclimate, which the Incas used to experiment with crops at various altitudes. Moray is considered an ancient pre-Hispanic agricultural laboratory.
Third stop: Maras Salt Mines
Observe more than 3,000 salt ponds that have been exploited since Inca times. Saltwater flows from an underground spring and evaporates under the sun, forming salt crystals. These salt mines are one of the most impressive landmarks of the Sacred Valley and are still managed through a hereditary community system.
Stop in Urubamba
Surrounded by nature and fertile farmlands, Urubamba is the perfect place to enjoy a delicious traditional buffet lunch featuring local products such as the famous giant corn of the Sacred Valley. After lunch, we continue to one of the most important fortresses of the Inca Empire.
Fourth stop: Ollantaytambo
Explore the majestic fortress of Ollantaytambo, strategically located between two mountains. Here, you will discover the Temple of the Sun (Inti), the Baths of the Ñustas, perfectly aligned Inca terraces, and the Cachiccata chullpas. It is also a key departure point for travelers heading to Machu Picchu.
Fifth stop: Pisac
We conclude our visit at the archaeological complex of Pisac, renowned for its extensive Inca agricultural terraces and panoramic views of the valley. It is located on the slopes of Intihuatana Hill, a sacred place symbolizing the connection with the sun.
Arrival time in Cusco: 18:30 to 19:00 hrs – drop-off near the Main Square (Plaza de Armas).
