Frequently Asked Questions

You will ride the ATVs for approximately 40 minutes uphill and 35 minutes downhill, enjoying spectacular mountain scenery along the route.
We have daily departures, and our groups usually range from 7 to 10 participants.
After the ATV ride, there is a short hike of approximately 30 minutes to reach Rainbow Mountain and enjoy its breathtaking views.
Yes, we follow health and safety protocols to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. Your safety and well-being are important to us, and we strive to provide a safe travel experience for all our passengers.
Not completely. ATVs travel along the flat dirt road to a designated parking area established by the local community. From that point, all visitors must hike uphill on foot to the main viewpoint (approximately 25 to 30 minutes). This saves about 70% of the physical effort required for the flat section of the route, but it does not eliminate the final uphill stretch.
An official driver’s license is not required, but basic motor coordination and confidence handling the handlebars are essential. Before starting the route, the guides conduct a short practice session on a controlled, flat area. If the instructor determines that a passenger is uncomfortable or poses a safety risk while driving, they will be assigned to a double ATV with a guide or companion for safety reasons.
No. For environmental regulations and hiker safety, ATVs use a secondary dirt road specifically designed for motorized vehicles, avoiding constant interaction with people following the traditional hiking route or riding horses.
During the dry season (May to October), the main issue is the dense dust raised along the dirt road, making protective goggles and neck gaiters or balaclavas essential. During the rainy season (November to April), the terrain can become muddy and develop puddles, requiring greater throttle control to prevent skidding, while also adding an exciting off-road experience.
The lower oxygen levels also affect the performance of combustion engines, reducing their power. Professional agencies use ATVs with appropriate engine displacement (350cc to 450cc or more). When using a double ATV, the combined weight of the passengers should be balanced to maintain traction on uphill dirt roads.
The operator provides the required safety helmet and gloves. You should bring your own wraparound UV-protection sunglasses to block wind and dust, a fleece neck gaiter or scarf to cover your nose and mouth, and closed-toe footwear with good traction.
ATV groups travel with a lead guide, a support guide at the back, and a mechanic or support vehicle carrying tools and replacement units. In the event of a breakdown, the ATV can be replaced within minutes, or the mechanic can repair the problem on site.
Because it drastically reduces cardiovascular exertion during the flat sections at high altitude, allowing you to conserve your physical and respiratory energy specifically for the final uphill section, making the experience accessible to a wider range of travelers.
