Unlike the traditional version, where a single ticket allowed visitors to explore the entire citadel, the new circuits divide the visit into specific areas. The upper circuits (Circuits 1 and 2) prioritize the classic panoramic view from the Guardian’s Hut and the upper section. The lower circuit (Circuit 3) takes you directly to the urban and historical area (Temple of the Sun, Water Mirrors), making it ideal for appreciating the details of Inca architecture up close, although you will not get the classic postcard photo from above. Choosing the right circuit depends on whether you are looking for the classic photograph or a tour focused on history and architectural details.

If you’re feeling unwell, there are a few things you can try. One option is to speak with your doctor before coming to get a prescription for pills that can help you during your visit. You can also buy them at pharmacies in Cusco.
Other remedies include drinking coca tea or muña tea (Andean mint), which have been used since Inca times. Pharmacies also sell small oxygen canisters, which can be very helpful.

There is no definitive answer to this question, as there are several options. The Inca Trail is the most popular and must be booked months in advance, since there are only a limited number of spots available each day. The best alternative trek is considered to be the Salkantay Trek, which offers a true adventure and stunning scenery.
The Inca Jungle is ideal for thrill-seekers, while the Lares Trek is an excellent option if you’re looking for a more peaceful and rural experience. If you have plenty of time and want to explore two incredible Inca sites, you can choose the Choquequirao trek.

This depends on the person who wants to do the hike. The Inca Trail is very popular, as it takes you along the actual path once traveled by the Incas. However, many say that the scenery on the Salkantay Trek is more beautiful.
For this reason, we would suggest choosing the Inca Trail if you’re a true history lover and enjoy well-known hiking routes, but go for the Salkantay Trek if you want to witness stunning landscapes and a variety of different climates.

The best way to deal with altitude sickness is by preventing the chemical phenomenon of exposing our body to atmospheric pressure.
Since it is a chemical process, it will get worse if we do nothing to avoid it; and the best way to help is through acclimatization.
