Taqrachullo and Three Canyons Viewpoint Tour
The Taqrachullo + Three Canyons Viewpoint Tour is a full-day excursion to one of the least explored archaeological destinations in southern Cusco, in the province of Espinar. The route combines nature, history, and high-altitude landscapes: from the colonial Machupuente bridge and the impressive Devil’s Throat, to the archaeological complex of María Fortaleza Taqrachullo, located at 4,102 m / 13,458 ft above sea level.
After exploring the lower section of the archaeological site, visitors climb for approximately 25 minutes to the upper section, where more Inca remains await, along with the day’s ultimate reward: the Three Canyons Viewpoint, offering a 360° panoramic view over the deep canyons formed by the Apurímac River and its tributaries.
This is a difficult-level tour, with a very early pickup and long travel hours, ideal for travelers looking to move beyond mass tourism and discover an authentic, rarely visited destination in the region.
Important: This tour is not suitable for pregnant women or people with heart or respiratory conditions. Arriving already acclimatized and carrying rain gear between November and April is recommended.
