Sillar Route and Culebrillas

At 09:00 hrs, we will pick you up from your hotel and begin the journey to the famous Añashuayco Quarry, one of the main extraction sites of sillar stone in the region. During the visit, you will observe local stonemasons working with traditional techniques that have been passed down through generations.

Next, we will continue to the impressive Culebrillas Quarries, considered virgin quarries and surrounded by spectacular natural scenery. Here, we will take a short walk through a narrow sillar canyon to admire remarkable geological formations and ancient petroglyphs carved into the rock walls.

Throughout the tour, the guide will explain the historical and cultural importance of sillar stone in the architectural development of Arequipa. After the visit, we will return to the city, arriving at approximately 14:00 hrs near the Main Square.
