Itinerary
06:30 Hrs.Pick up of our passengers to start the excursion. Our guide will explain the new rules to enjoy our experience in the archaeological sites. We will board the transportation and we will have our first stop in the community of: CHINCHEROS: Very traditional and typical place for the handicrafts and colorful weavings, the main attraction is the archaeological complex and the Sunday market where the barter or exchange of products is still done, these are traditions since Inca times. MORAY: Here we find a kind of amphitheaters, in which each of the different terraces has a different microclimate, which varies the crop according to the height at which it is located. SALINERAS: They are salt ponds exploited from the Inca period to the present day, the salt water comes out of a small mountain and reaches small terraces in the form of pools where the water stagnates and evaporates little by little thanks to the heat of the sun, thus producing salt, an element so characteristic of this area of Peru. The use of the terraces or pits by the locals is hereditary, but it is worked in a common way. URUBAMBA: A great place with Inca productions, primarily corn, and today a beautiful countryside, with great production of fruit trees. An excellent place to enjoy our lunch buffet typical of the area, at the end we continue the trip to: OLLANTAYTAMBO: It is a military fortress that protected this area of the valley, strategically located between two mountains. Currently you can appreciate this fortress, as well as the rich deposits, consisting of the temple to Inti (sun god), the baths of the Ñustas (princesses), the chullpas of Cachiccata, a set of terraces symmetrically staggered and very steep on the slope of a hill. PÍSAC: Town located on the slopes of the Intihuatana hill (place where the sun is tied), has the best system of terraces worked by the Incas. 18:30 Hrs. Arrival to the Cusco city (close the main square). Note: It is recommended to take this tour after spending some time acclimatizing in Cusco to enjoy the experience comfortably. Sacred Valley tour
