Discover the Q’eswachaka Tour, a full-day experience from Cusco that combines Andean culture, high-Andean landscapes, and a visit to one of the most representative plant-fiber bridges of the Andean tradition. The journey takes you to Q’eswachaka, located over the Apurímac River at approximately 3700 m / 12,139 ft above sea level, where you can learn about this ancient tradition of bridge construction and community renewal.During the journey, we will visit Rumí Punku, the Combapata Viewpoint, and the district of Quehue, home to the Q’eswachaka Bridge, built from plant fibers and approximately 28 meters long. After exploring the bridge and its surroundings, we will continue to the Pampamarca, Asnacqocha, Acopía, and Pomacanchi lakes, enjoying the natural landscapes of this area of the Andes.The Q’eswachaka Bridge is renewed every year in June by four local communities, preserving an ancestral tradition connected to the Andean road system. With a moderate difficulty level, this 1-day tour is an excellent option for travelers interested in discovering Cusco’s cultural heritage while enjoying the beauty of the high-Andean lakes.

Queswachaca

04:30 hrs. In the morning we will pick you up from your hotel at 5:00 am, and we will drive for 2 hours until reach to CCOLCCA where we will have our breakfast, after we will continue to find the first lagoon (POMACANCHI), we will have a brief stop to take photos and then we will continue to the next lagoon (ACOPIA), we will also take the photos in the place and listen the guide explanation of the area, then we will visit the third and the last lagoon ASNAQOCHA and PAMPAMARCA.

After visiting the circuit of the 4 lagoons we will pass through small historic towns: as the town of Tupac Amaru II “Inca revolutionary” we will know and visit the house of this character.

We can also visit a small volcano off on the route to the last Inca bridge and then we will have breakfast.

Finally we will reach our final destination “Qeswachaka or last Inca bridge”, where our guide will explain us how this bridge was made and How does the tradition continue until now?

17:00 hrs. Arrival in Cusco, passengers will be dropped off close the Plaza de Armas.
