Machupicchu

Your unforgettable Machu Picchu Day Trip from Cusco commences with an early morning pickup from your hotel. At around 5:30 am, we will depart for Ollantaytambo train station on a scenic drive. The journey spans approximately 1.5 hours (94 km or 58 miles). From here, you will embark on a scenic train ride to Aguas Calientes, the town at the foot of Machu Picchu.

Arriving at Aguas Calientes around 9:30 am, a 30 minute bus journey awaits. The winding ascent takes you up to the citadel of Machu Picchu, standing 2,430 meters (or 7,972 feet) above sea level.

Here, your guided tour begins, delving deep into the history of this incredible Inca site. The guided tour to Machu Picchu is estimated to last about two hours. It allows you ample time to understand the mystic charm of this ancient wonder.

Following the guided exploration, you will have some free time to wander the site independently. Perhaps you may wish to ascend Huayna Picchu, which offers mesmerizing views of the surrounding landscape. Do bear in mind the requirement for a separate ticket for this climb.

Your return to Aguas Calientes is scheduled around 2:30 pm. This provides you the opportunity to refuel at a local eatery before the train ride back to Ollantaytambo. Here, a vehicle will be waiting to transport you back to your hotel in Cusco. We will be reaching Cusco approximately at 9:00 pm.
