Our legal and ethical commitment to the protection of girls, boys and adolescents
Under Law No. 28251, the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (MINCETUR) has established the policy against the Sexual Exploitation of Girls, Boys and Adolescents (ESNNA). Machupicchu Luna Tours voluntarily adheres to this agreement and takes joint action to prevent and eradicate this serious problem.
This Code is a formal declaration of voluntary adherence that establishes conduct standards for all people working in our company, aimed at protecting children and adolescents from all forms of sexual exploitation and human trafficking associated with travel and tourism.
The Sexual Exploitation of Girls, Boys and Adolescents in Peru and worldwide — in general and in its form associated with travel and tourism — as it damages the fundamental rights of people.
Those who use tourism activities and the facilities and services they offer to promote, facilitate or tolerate the sexual exploitation of girls, boys and adolescents.
All the people who make up Machupicchu Luna Tours commit to:
Maintain an ethical policy rejecting commercial sexual exploitation of girls, boys and adolescents in the context of travel and tourism.
Inform and train staff on the company's policy regarding the prevention of sexual exploitation of girls, boys and adolescents in tourism and travel.
Maintain visible symbols alerting clients and providers about our position on the sexual exploitation of girls, boys and adolescents in tourism and travel.
Include a clause in contracts with providers rejecting ESNNA: "Tourism promotes a childhood and adolescence free from sexual exploitation; therefore, we do not accept any act that favors it."
Machupicchu Luna Tours has formally signed and adheres to the Code of Conduct for the Protection of Girls, Boys and Adolescents against Sexual Exploitation in travel and tourism, in compliance with Law No. 28251 and MINCETUR guidelines.
