The Lake 69 Full-Day Tour is one of the most spectacular hikes in the Cordillera Blanca and one of the most recommended excursions from Huaraz. Located within Huascarán National Park, this impressive glacial lake stands out for its intense turquoise waters surrounded by snow-capped mountains and unique high-Andean landscapes.
During the journey, you will enjoy panoramic views of the majestic snow-capped peaks of Huascarán, Huandoy, Chopicalqui, Yanapaccha, Chacraraju, and Pisco, as well as waterfalls, valleys, and abundant Andean flora and fauna. The hike begins at Cebollapampa (3,900 m / 12,795 ft) and ascends to the spectacular Lake 69 (4,604 m / 15,105 ft), considered one of the most beautiful lakes in Peru.
This full-day adventure combines tourist transportation with an approximately 7-hour round-trip hike. Due to the high altitude, proper acclimatization in Huaraz beforehand is recommended. The route has a moderate difficulty level and is ideal for nature and hiking enthusiasts.
Important: Due to the high altitude of the route, we recommend staying at least 1 or 2 days in Huaraz before undertaking the hike to allow your body to acclimatize.
