The Rainbow Mountain ATV Tour is an exciting full-day adventure that combines the thrill of riding ATVs with a visit to the spectacular Rainbow Mountain Vinicunca, one of the most impressive natural attractions in Cusco. This option significantly reduces hiking time while allowing visitors to enjoy breathtaking Andean landscapes.Throughout the journey, travelers cross traditional communities, high-altitude plains and mountain scenery while reaching an altitude of approximately 5020 m / 16,470 ft. With a moderate difficulty level, this experience is ideal for adventure seekers looking for a unique way to visit Rainbow Mountain.The combination of tourist transport, ATV riding, a short hike and stunning views makes this tour one of the best alternatives for exploring the Peruvian Andes.
Important:
We recommend spending at least two days acclimatizing in Cusco before joining this tour due to the high altitude.
03:15 hrs. We start picking up our passengers in Cusco, the car will drive 2 hours and 40 minutes to Japura to have breakfast. After the breakfast we will go to the base where our ATVs are located. Is there where our instructor will teach you for a few minutes how to use the ATV, is easy and simple. We will drive the ATV for 1 hour until we reach Qosqopata. In Qosqopata we will leave the ATVs to start a short 35 minutes walk until reach the rainbow mountain. Arriving we will have enough time to take photos and enjoy the colorful landscape surrounded by snowcapped mountains and mountains of different colors. For the return we will walk 30 minutes and then drive back our ATVs and have lunch in our restaurant and later return to Cusco. 16:30 hrs.
