This depends on the person who wants to do the hike. The Inca Trail is very popular, as it takes you along the actual path once traveled by the Incas. However, many say that the scenery on the Salkantay Trek is more beautiful.
For this reason, we would suggest choosing the Inca Trail if you’re a true history lover and enjoy well-known hiking routes, but go for the Salkantay Trek if you want to witness stunning landscapes and a variety of different climates.

The best way to deal with altitude sickness is by preventing the chemical phenomenon of exposing our body to atmospheric pressure.
Since it is a chemical process, it will get worse if we do nothing to avoid it; and the best way to help is through acclimatization.
If our ascent is gradual and slow, we will slow down the hypoxia caused by the altitude; proper acclimatization to the area will allow us to enjoy Cusco.
