The route is ideal for adventurous travelers seeking an authentic experience away from crowded tourist destinations.With a duration of 2 days and 1 night, this trek includes camping in Marampata, panoramic views of the Apurímac River and a guided exploration of one of the most fascinating Inca sites in Peru.

Important: We recommend spending at least two days in Cusco before the trek for proper altitude acclimatization.

Itinerary

Día1

Cusco - Santa Teresa - Yanama - Marampata

Your adventure begins with hotel pickup in Cusco at 04:00 hrs.

We travel through the Sacred Valley and Abra Malaga before descending to the tropical region of Santa Teresa.

After breakfast, transportation continues to the trekking starting point near Yanama/Totora.

At 10:00 hrs we begin the descent into the spectacular Apurimac Canyon.

After lunch, we start the demanding uphill hike to Marampata, enjoying breathtaking views throughout the journey.

Upon arrival at camp, dinner will be served before an overnight stay surrounded by the Andes.

Marampata - Choquequirao - Santa Teresa - Cusco

After an early breakfast, we hike toward the magnificent Choquequirao Archaeological Complex.

At 06:30 hrs, the guided tour begins through the most important sectors of the site, including plazas, ceremonial areas and the famous llama terraces.

Following the visit, we descend back through the canyon and continue to Santa Teresa for lunch.

If time allows, participants may optionally visit the relaxing Cocalmayo Hot Springs. Afterwards, private transportation returns to Cusco, arriving around 21:30 hrs.
